This month, we had the honor of welcoming the full youth squad from High School Sundai Kofu, a top Japanese team that traveled all the way from Japan to experience a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity in Barcelona thanks to the STAGE platform from BEST.
During their six-day stay, the team took full advantage of the chance to complete their training program at world-class facilities and face off against some of the best local teams in 3 exciting friendlies. These games were a crucial part of their preparation and offered them a real challenge, pushing them to adapt and grow as players.
But the experience wasn’t just about football. The Sundai Kofu team also enjoyed a week packed with intense competition and tourism. Although the games were tough, the players showed incredible spirit and adaptability, living the thrill of competition while soaking in the magic of Spanish football. It was a perfect blend of high-level training and immersion in the heart of football culture.
As part of their visit, the team also had the chance to explore Barcelona, enjoying iconic sights like La Sagrada Familia, Parc Güell, and Plaza de España. And the excitement didn’t stop there! To top it all off, the players experienced the electrifying atmosphere of La Liga live at the Estadio Olímpico, where FC Barcelona took on Club Deportivo Leganés. This match gave them a front-row seat to the intensity and passion of Spanish football.
This experience was not only an incredible opportunity to improve their skills, but also a unique way to connect with European football culture, while creating unforgettable memories both on and off the pitch.
